Literature Text

It's been a year since you've decided to join the most amazing person in the universe on his wild journeys. The Doctor is the name of the most amazing person you know. A Time Lord with an age over 900. For a man older than 900, he look quite young. Soft brown eyes that tell a story with just one gaze. Messy brown hair parted just right that gives that look of brilliance. The framed glasses he tends to wear make him look like a spontaneous librarian, especially when he reads a novel every now and then. He usually wears the same outfit which is a striped blue suit with a red tie. A brown trench coat on top and usually a pair of black converses for footwear. You've admired his skills and his mind. You know that he's not human, a Gallifreyan to be exact, but can't help but feel jealous. He's told you about Donna and how humans can sort of malfunction when the brains of a Time Lord mix with a human's. You don't want happening, but still wish to be as smart as him so you could understand what he was saying half the time. Most of the time you're telling him to, "Speak English please?" or, "Come again?" You hate feeling so stupid. On Earth, you would've been thought of as very intelligent due to your high grades in school. Here, though, you tend to feel like the most stupid person around.
One day you walk up the Doctor, "Doctor?"
"Yes, F/N?" he asks, not looking to you as he fiddles with some kind of alien device he had found from your last mission together.
"Do you think I'm stupid?" you ask him. Your cheeks are red from asking such a silly little question. You want to know, though. You want to know if he feels superior when compared to little human beings like yourself. Maybe that's why he usually has humans as companions. So he can feel like he's the most brilliant man in the universe, which is probably true.
"What brought this question along all of a sudden?" the Doctor asks with a curious smile, turning to you. He sets his sonic screwdriver down along with the alien instrument.
You shrug your shoulders, "Not sure. I've just been thinking about things. I've always been very bright compared to people back on Earth, but compared to you, I feel like a loser."
The Doctor chuckles, "You're very bright Miss L/N. Gallifreyans are one of the most intelligent species in the universe. In fact, I get that you feel jealous, but you shouldn't feel jealous about my intelligence. You see, you get to have the fun of learning things. Gallifreyans are born with most of our intelligence and learn very little since we already know almost everything."
"Who said I was jealous?" you snap at him.
"You don't have to hide it, F/N. I can read you like a book!" he smiles teasingly. You cross your arms and stare at him with a raised eyebrow. He obviously can't read you that easily. He might've been able to read your jealousy, although you won't admit to that, but he obviously hasn't been able to read those feelings you have for your brilliant man. In that one moment, something becomes clear to you. Maybe this is why you're jealous. You don't want to feel useless to someone that you want be with dearly. You think about it some more, and you realize that it makes sense. You think back to all of those times you want to help the Doctor, but you can't because you have no idea what you have to do. It's because you love him that you want to help so much.
"F/N? You in there?" the Doctor asks, trying to break you from your thought.
"What? Oh, sorry Doctor. I-I think you're right. I think I am a bit jealous," you admit, a dusting of red appearing on your cheeks.
"I've never really known someone like you to actually admit their jealousy. Now tell me, what is the real reason you're jealous?" he puts his hands on your shoulder. His deep brown eyes look into your E/C eyes. Instead of just reading your thoughts, he decides to let you answer this for yourself.
"I-I just want to help. I love helping you, but I never know what to do. It's always you who thinks of the plan. I just hate feeling so useless," you admit. A tear escapes your eyes and slips down your cheek.
"You are not useless!" the Doctor says louder than he intends. You wince at his sudden outburst.
"You are my companion! If not for you, I'd probably be dead dead! You may not have the intelligence to do stuff alone, but you're like a second pair of arms! There are things you can do while I can't!" he says to you. You're silent, staring into those beautiful brown eyes of his, taking in everything he's just said about you. He thinks you're wonderful. He didn't say directly, but you know he thinks it! He said that he'd be actually dead dead without you! Without thinking, you grab him by his trench coat and pull him into a kiss. You loved hearing him talk about you a moment ago, but now is the time for him to shut up. The kiss is sweet for both you and The Doctor. His arms go around your waist and stay there for a moment.
You then push him away and smirk, "You can't completely read me like a book. You couldn't even read those feelings!"
The Doctor smiles, "Oh, I could read them alright. Loud and clear like a horn."
"Then how come you never said anything?" you ask in confusion.
"Because," he pulls you to his chest, "you had to tell me face to face. And also, you don't have to be jealous anymore."
"I know," you close the gap between you and the Doctor, kissing him again.

There's a typo and sentence is supposed to be " I'd be dead!" but if you read it in the doctor's voice as it was written it utterly hilarious. " I'd be dead dead!"
